At ERC De Morette, all semen collection is performed by our team of experienced veterinarians.

Semen collection is done by having the stallion jump on a phantom (artificial mare). To ensure the safest possible semen collection for the stallion, we have a large covering room with an anti-slip floor. If necessary, we can always rely on a very well-behaved mare to stimulate the stallion.

Our many years of experience with stallions allow us to teach young and inexperienced stallions how to cover on a phantom in a correct and safe way.

We expect all stallions purchased at our centre to have a recent negative CEM test.
